My Story

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”

-Lucille Ball

Hi there! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Sit back, make yourself at home, and let you tell me my story. It won’t take long – I promise!

To begin with, my name is Amber. And in 2016, my life changed for the better and worse and eventually for the best (but we’ll get to that later.) For now, suffice to say that I became mumma to my first precious little bub. And with that, as many mothers before and after me will know – I also became mumma to an extra 20kg. I knew it was all part and parcel of creating the most precious thing I had ever seen, but, at the same time, I didn’t think what I saw in the mirror was so precious. Or, worse, I just felt plain bad – in my skin, clothes – and most importantly – myself.

I knew something had to change. So I did what’s expected of new mothers these days and dove headfirst into fad diets, cardio training, and blog post after health blog post – the works. The kicker? I knew absolutely nothing about food, calories, and their power when it comes to well-being and weight loss.

In an epiphany moment, I realized maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t the answer. And just a moment later, I took the leap, and I signed up for my first challenge. From there, I took up weight training/macroing. And last but not least – I fell head over heels for what was good for me and my body.

What’s more, I realized that one of the most precious gifts I could give my lovely little bub was growing up with a mother that loved herself. Only then can you pour the best part of yourself into their development and, ultimately – happiness. So when I wasn’t worried about how I was shaping up physically, I had more time to enjoy the small things and make room for the big things.

Now, having been slim my whole life, I have the healthiest relationship I’ve ever had with food. I love my training and do minimal cardio with maximal results. And while I continue to track food, my diet is totally flexible, meaning I can reach for my favourites, splurge on occasion, and all without even a hint of guilt!

I’m the leanest I’ve ever been while maintaining a love for food and achieving the miracle of staying within my macros (yes, it’s possible!) In short – I don’t restrict – I just changed my mindset. Also, in the meantime, I’ve added a 1+ to my brood. And lo and behold, my body changed once again. But, in applying the same strategy, I got right back to my pre-baby weight!

With this blog, my aim is to help other mummas to find balance again after having their bubs. The post-partum juggle is a struggle – but you deserve to take care of yourself. So, together, we’ll delve into the changes your body goes through post-bub. All the while eating delicious food and working on getting your fitness back. All in pursuit of helping you rekindle (or discover) your love for your body.

Finally, I’ve been there, done that, and worn the uncomfortably tight shirt. So I know what you’re going through, and you don’t have to go it alone.

When it comes to training and nutrition, I don’t believe one size fits all. So to every new woman who comes to me, I curate a customized action plan and routine to match their unique lifestyles and goals.

I don’t believe in extreme measures, and your body’s changes will be achieved in a healthy, sustainable way that will set you up to achieve your dream body and keep it for life!

If you are unsure of which of my packages will best suit you, don’t hesitate to shoot an email my way. I’d be more than happy to help you choose which is right for you with the best possible results in mind!

I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!
