My Story

Hello there! Thank you for stopping by my small space on the internet. Relax, make yourself comfortable, and allow me to share my story with you. It won't take much time – I assure you!
Firstly, my name is Amber. In 2016, my life took a turn for the better and the worse, eventually leading to the best outcome (but we’ll address that later.) For now, let's just say that I became a mother to my first precious little baby. Along with that, like many mothers before and after me, I also gained an extra 20kg. I understood that it was all part of bringing the most precious thing I had ever seen into the world, but, at the same time, I didn't feel that what I saw in the mirror was precious. Even worse, I just felt plain bad – about my body, clothes, and most importantly, about myself.
Realising that a change was necessary, I conformed to the societal expectations of new mothers and wholeheartedly embraced trendy diets, intense cardio workouts, and a plethora of health-related blog posts. The surprising twist? Despite my dedication, I possessed minimal knowledge about nutrition, calorie intake, and their impact on overall health and weight management.
In a sudden realisation, it dawned on me that perhaps, just perhaps, it wasn't the solution. Shortly after, I made the decision to take a leap and enrolled in my first challenge. That marked the beginning of my journey into weight training and macroing. Ultimately, I became completely enamored with what was beneficial for both my well-being and physique.
Now, being naturally slender throughout my life, I have developed the most positive relationship with food. I thoroughly enjoy my workouts, focusing on minimal cardio for maximum effectiveness. Although I still monitor my food intake, my diet allows for complete flexibility, enabling me to indulge in my favorite foods, treat myself occasionally, all without a trace of guilt!
I am currently at my peak health while still enjoying food and successfully managing to stay within my macros (yes, it's achievable!). In essence, I don't impose strict limitations - I simply shifted my mindset. Additionally, during this time, I welcomed a new addition to my family. Surprisingly, my body underwent further changes. However, by employing the same approach, I promptly returned to a sustainable, healthy weight!
Through this blog, I aspire to assist fellow mothers in restoring balance after giving birth. The postpartum period can be challenging, but you deserve to prioritise self-care. Let's explore the physical changes that occur after childbirth while enjoying nourishing meals and focusing on reclaiming your fitness. Our goal is to help you reignite your appreciation for your body.
At last, I have experienced that, undergone it, and endured the uncomfortably snug shirt. Therefore, I understand what you're experiencing, and you don't have to face it alone.
